John Holzwarth

Mr. Holzwarth serves as Director and Chief Compliance Officer of Perkins Fund Marketing. PFM is a leading introducing broker in the alternative investment market that has raised over 6B for emerging Hedge and PE Fund managers. John Holzwarth leads regulatory compliance at Perkins Fund Marketing and serves as the firm’s point spokesperson with FINRA, MSRB, NFA and State Regulators.

Mr. Holzwarth’s responsibilities also extend to the oversight and marketing of hedge and private equity funds. Additionally, he conducts research and analysis on manager selection and fund products while developing policies and procedures to mitigate business and product specific risks. PFM’s long history of success in manager selection reflects a nuanced process of sourcing top quartile manager alpha, identifying market demand for new and cyclical product and assessing corresponding regulatory risk.

Mr. Holzwarth began his finance career at CIBC World Markets in the Latin America Middle Market Fixed Income and Equities Division and has most recently co-led capital placement initiatives for various private equity and hedge fund managers at CEDI Capital Markets.

Mr. Holzwarth’s finance career also encompasses his passion for the culinary arts. He has operated as an Investor and Operator of fine dining establishments as well as a consultant to leading private equity firms. John has invested over a decade in the hospitality industry, has a passion for local, sustainable agriculture and its underlying regional economic impact, and is a trusted advisor to these market segments.

A graduate with distinction from the University of Maine with degrees in Economics and Spanish literature, Mr. Holzwarth finished his education at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina studying Economic Development. He is also a Registered Representative holding Series 7, 24, 31, 50, 51, 63 and 99 Licenses and is a member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals (NSCP).
