John Patin

John serves as Senior Investment Officer with Starr Insurance Companies. He is responsible for the oversight of Starr’s investment portfolios, including portfolio strategy and allocations, manager selection, performance and risk monitoring and day-to-day management of teams investing across Private Credit, Real Estate and Private Equity. Prior to joining CV Starr, John was Senior Investment Analyst at Allied World, where he spent seven years having Senior responsibilities across the Insurance portfolios, including spending time managing the Firm’s strategic GP investments. John was previously a founding member of Alstra Capital Management, a Hedge Fund of Funds, and served as Director of Research. Alstra Capital was a spin-out of Moore Capital Management, a New York based, global macro hedge fund that John joined in 2001. John graduated with a B.S. in Economics and International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
