Kenneth M. Miranda has served as Cornell University’s Chief Investment Officer since July 1, 2016. In this role, he coordinates a 20+ person team which oversees assets of about $12.5 billion. In managing Cornell’s endowment, the team makes investments across a broad range of asset classes (both public and private), themes, strategies, and managers. In addition to this, he currently serves as a member of the Advisory Committee on Investments for the Food and Agriculture Organization; serves as Chairman of the Endowment Oversight Committee at Sackville Capital, an institutional investment firm located in London, England; is a board member at Nuveen Churchill Direct Lending Corporation, a publicly-traded business development company focused on loans to middle market companies; and is also an observer on the Pension Investment Committee of the Bank for International Settlements. Prior to his role at Cornell, he had been the Director of the International Monetary Fund’s Investment Office (2000-2016). Ken holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Chicago, a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and is a CFA charter holder.
