Kishlaya Pathak, CFA
Kishlaya Pathak, CFA, is a global markets strategist at BNY Mellon Investment Management. He specializes in macro strategy with a focus on interest rate and foreign exchange markets. He has more than a decade of experience in forecasting financial markets. At ICICI ltd. in Mumbai, Pathak was responsible for the organization’s views on the foreign exchange market. He also supported the FX proprietary trading effort as a desk strategist. As Standard Chartered Bank’s India Economist, he authored periodic reports on the economy and contributed thought pieces to financial dailies. He advised institutional investors and corporations on curve, duration, and FX positioning. At Lehman Brothers in New York, he worked with Lehman’s chief fixed income strategist and contributed regularly to the flagship publication – Global Relative Value. The team was rated # 1 in the Institutional Investor Survey for many years. At Barclays Capital, he covered U.S. fixed income markets to generate both directional and relative value trade ideas for institutional investors. Pathak holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Delhi and an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is also a CFA charter holder. He is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts. In the past, he has served on the board of the Fixed Income Analysts Society.
