Krystn Hammond, CFA, CPA

Krystn leads the valuation practice in New York focusing on external (non-audit) clients. She has over 17 years of experience advising clients on valuations, transactions and tax restructurings, including acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, and intellectual property migrations. Her pharmaceutical and life sciences experience spans across industry subsectors, including big pharma, biotech, medical device/diagnostics, generic, specialty, animal health, OTC/consumer, and services, with transaction sizes ranging from $25 million to in excess of $70 billion.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Krystn worked as a healthcare investment banker focused on strategic M&A at Stifel, via its acquisition of Torreya Capital, advising on transactions across generics, specialty pharma, complex formulations, and infectious disease. Previously, Krystn was a Director in PwC’s Deals practice focused on life sciences, and also was the director lead for the firm’s middle market clients and opportunities business development initiative for the sector in the New York metro region.

She is a licensed CPA in the State of New York, a CFA Charterholder and holds inactive Series 63 and 79 FINRA licenses in good standing. Krystn holds BSM Finance and Masters of Accountancy degrees from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business.
