Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux
Laetitia Garriott de Cayeux is the CEO of Global Space Ventures. She serves on the Board of the National Museum of Mathematics, as a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of New York, and Women Corporate Directors, and as a fellow of Truman Security Project.
Laetitia was instrumental in beamed energy propulsion becoming onboarded to NASA’s technology roadmap, as cofounder of Escape Dynamics, which Fast Company ranked third of the “Top 10 World’s Most Innovative Space Companies”. She is an early investor in transformative US technology champions SpaceX and SparkCognition which have significantly strengthened our national security posture in space and AI, and Lynk, which demonstrated the first “cell tower in space” and plans to bridge the connectivity gap for rural America and beyond. She has briefed members of the US Senate on commercial space, and contributed her expertise to Council on Foreign Relations study groups on transformative technologies, and US Policy towards Asia.
Laetitia also served in leadership investing roles at leading global financial firms, including as Investment Partner at Renaissance Technologies in New-York, and as Investment Principal at TPG-Axon in both New-York and Hong-Kong. Prior to this, she was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs where she started her career in 1999 in London and advised on cross-border M&A in the US, Asia and Europe.
Laetitia holds an MBA for Harvard Business School.
