Leslie Vargas, CFA

Leslie is Vice President – Private Debt, at Swiss Re in New York. She focuses on the strategy, management, and outsourcing of investment mandates covering commercial real estate loans and direct lending. Her responsibilities include screening, due diligence, selection and monitoring of private debt investment managers. Prior to joining Swiss Re, Leslie worked at Bloomberg LP as a team leader in Equity Capital Markets. At Bloomberg, she also held various data analyst roles and authored articles in Bloomberg Markets magazine and Bloomberg Brief newsletters highlighting dividend forecasts and capital markets activity. In addition, she appeared on Bloomberg TV and Radio providing commentary on the IPO market. Leslie earned a BS cum laude in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Richmond and is a CFA charterholder.
