Luca Passoni

Luca Passoni runs a consulting practice that guides clients through challenges related to asset allocation, geopolitical/market risk, and global economic/financial uncertainties. Luca served as the CIO of Generali’s €400B investment portfolio, and was responsible for over 50 portfolio managers, Quant and Fundamental research teams, and all responsibilities around ALM for this insurance giant. Prior to being CIO, he served as CEO and General Manager for Generali Asset Management, where he ran multiple operational activities. Luca was also a senior investor at Alleanza Assicurazioni, where he was first in Italy to create a complete stochastic analysis of the asset and liability balance of the whole company, knowledge he gained while studying postgraduate finance at Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. He also created and managed the first index-linked contracts for the company. Luca is a partner in gourmet food company, and enjoys competitive sailing. (Luca is also a member of CFANY.)
