Maria Wilton, CFA, AM

Maria Wilton has a thirty year history in the investment industry with leadership experience in financial services and pension funds.

Maria is Vice Chair of the global Board of Governors of the CFA Institute, Deputy Chair of Infrastructure Victoria and a Director of Victorian Funds Management Corporation and WorkSafe Victoria. She is a Member of the Advocacy Council and Diversity Council of CFA Societies Australia. Maria is a Trustee Director of Australia Post Super Scheme and a Member of the State Investment Advisory Board (Qld).

Maria is the former Managing Director and Chair of Franklin Templeton Investments Australia. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, she worked across a range of investment and business roles with BT Financial Group (formerly Rothschild), County and JP Morgan. Before joining the investment management industry, Maria worked for the Commonwealth Treasury in economic research.

Ms. Wilton holds a bachelor of economics from the University of Tasmania and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. In January 2019 she became a Member of the Order of Australia for service to business and finance and to the community.
