Matthew Brennan

Matthew Brennan, Director, is a member of the US iShares Global market team based in New York. The team seeks to protect and grow the trading of iShares funds by actively monitoring and improving the ETF ecosystem.  Matt is primarily responsible for the market health and quality of iShares secondary trading which includes oversight of a proprietary market surveillance platform along with US market structure initiatives which are strengthened via partnerships with exchanges and liquidity providers.

Matt joined Blackrock in February 2015 from J.P. Morgan where he spent 4 years in the Investment bank’s Credit Risk team focusing on Collateral Risk Management.  Prior to that Matt spent 8 years as an Equity execution and sales trader at Wall Street Access as part of the event driven arbitrage team.

Mr. Brennan earned a business degree from Springfield College in 2002.
