Melissa Fay

Melissa Fay, Managing Partner, Head of Capital Markets, Drexel Hamilton Melissa Fay leads the Capital Markets effort at Drexel Hamilton, a Service – Disabled Veteran – Owned and Operated Broker – Dealer. Prior to joining Drexel Hamilton in 2020, Melissa spent 8 years in various roles within General Electric Capital Treasury to include asset/liability management, cash forecasting & liquidity management, bank relationship management, intercompany funding processes, bank administration, and funding policies. Prior to GE, Melissa was an equity derivatives trader at Credit Suisse for 3 years.

Melissa is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and holds a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University. After graduating from Annapolis, Melissa served as a Navy pilot flying the UH – 3H Sea King helicopter, deploying twice to the Middle East. For the last three of her 9 years of naval service, Melissa was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at University of California, Berkeley where she was a Naval R.O.T.C instructor to undergraduates. She also received an MBA from the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business. Melissa is passionate about helping Veterans interested in finance transition into their civilian careers, and she is currently on the Board of the Veteran Advocacy Project, an organization that provides free legal assistance to low – income veterans and their families.
