Nick Cleary is based in New York where he leads Hastings’ North American Infrastructure Debt business. He is a senior member of the global infrastructure debt team. Cleary’s responsibilities include capital raising, origination, execution, and portfolio and asset management across North America. Hastings is a specialist infrastructure debt and equity fund and asset manager. Hastings has over 18 years experience in infrastructure and currently manages c. US$7 billion of client funds across 9 funds and separate account relationships. Prior to joining Hastings, Cleary spent more than six years at Westpac, most recently as a director in the Project and Infrastructure Finance group. In this role he was responsible for the identification of opportunities, origination and execution of infrastructure, PPP, energy, export credit and natural resource transactions. Cleary previously held a number of roles in the international energy exploration industry in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin and North America. Cleary holds a Bachelor of Surveying (Land Surveying) from the University of Tasmania, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management.
