Osvaldo Canavosio is Head of Manager Research and Sector Head – Global Macro at Man FRM (‘FRM’), based in New York. He is a member of FRM’s Investment Committee and FRM’s Management Committee. Osvaldo has over 20 years of global investment experience, of which 10 was spent as a trader.  Prior to his current role, Osvaldo was Head of Commodities and Emerging Markets for Man Group’s multi-manager business and before that, he was a senior analyst within the Global Macro team. Prior to joining Man Group in 2008, Osvaldo worked at Vega Asset Management/Proxima Alfa Investments in New York, where he was a Managing Director for Business Development. Before this he was the Head Trader at Citibank’s Argentina branch. Osvaldo holds a master’s degree in finance from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina as well as an economics degree (honors) from Universidad Católica Argentina. He is also a CFA charterholder.
