Peter Kernan is a Managing Director and Criteria Officer for Corporate ratings in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and a member of S&P Global Ratings Corporate & Governments, Corporate Criteria and Emerging Markets Criteria Committees that develop methodologies to rate Corporates, Banks, Insurers and Sovereigns globally.
Peter was previously the Head of S&P Global Ratings EMEA Diversified Industries team which provides ratings for investment holding company, forest products, business services, paper and packaging and building materials sectors and S&P Global Ratings EMEA Utilities and Telecommunications team.
Peter joined S&P Global Ratings in 1998 as a telecom and cable analyst having worked for Societe Generale as a loan officer and HSBC in acquisition finance. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from University College, Dublin and a Masters Degree in Business Studies from The Graduate School of Business at University College, Dublin.
