Richard Paoli is a Senior Portfolio Manager of North American real estate investments for APG Asset Management US Inc, a subsidiary of Netherlands-based APG., As of the largest independent pension administrators in the Netherlands and one of the largest managers of pension assets in the world, APG currently administers the pensions for more than 4.5 million Dutch citizens and manages €439 billion (January 2017) in global assets.

Mr. Paoli oversees APG’s services relating to private real estate investments in North and South America, which comprise fund investments, joint ventures and other private portfolio equity and income-oriented investments in excess of $4 billion.

During his first seven years with the APG, Mr. Paoli was involved in analyzing and investing in real estate securities across various property types including Multifamily, Industrial, Specialty Finance, and Timber.

Prior to joining APG Asset Management US, Mr. Paoli spent eight years covering publicly traded REITs as a securities analyst with several investment banks, most recently as a Director at UBS AG. Mr. Paoli has had the honor of being a member of several sell-side teams that received top billing for REIT coverage in the Institutional Investor Magazine All American Research Poll.

Mr. Paoli is a Chartered Financial Analyst and received his BA with Honors from Stony Brook University where he double-majored in Economics and Social Sciences. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the New York Society of Securities Analysts (CFANY), The Economic Club of New York, the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
