Rob Farrington, CFA, CAIA
Rob Farrington is a managing director and Head of Wells Fargo Bank’s dedicated Institutional Outsourced Chief Investment Officer team. The team offers customized investment solutions designed to meet the philanthropic and administrative needs of Wells Fargo Bank’s largest institutional and nonprofit clients nationwide. Rob has 23 years of experience in financial services managing large and complex investment portfolios. Rob gains an understanding of clients’ investment goals and suitable level of risk and then recommends strategies centered on those objectives. He feels that the most valuable aspect of his work is supporting the missions of nonprofit clients.
Rob enjoys the challenge involved in analyzing market trends, as well as cultivating relationships with clients and the nonprofit industry more broadly. The Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) team is focused on the art of enhancing intergenerational equity through its highest-touch service, combining the scientific discipline of wealth-building with a deep understanding of the non-profit space.
Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Bates College, and he then went on to acquire an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Active in his community, Rob loves teaming up with his colleagues in Philadelphia and New York at Wells Fargo Bank volunteer events.
Rob lives in Weston, CT, with his wife, Donna, and their two adult children are enjoying their lives in New York City – Joey is a banker, and Dominique is a nurse. Rob and Donna both come from large families, and they enjoy spending time with them cooking, eating, and hanging out.
