Sameer Gupta

Sameer Gupta is the Head of Generative AI Shared Services and Data Engineering at Point72 where he has built data engineering, data product and customer success teams responsible for creating cloud-native data, analytics and AI capabilities. Prior to this, Sameer served in various leadership roles in data at Point72 including as the Head of Data for Fusion, and the Head of Data Sourcing and Strategy team. Before joining Point72, Sameer was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at iSentium, an artificial intelligence startup where he led key business functions including sales, business development, fundraising, engineering, and operations. Before iSentium, he was the COO for the Global Electronic Trading and Americas Cash Equities business at JPMorgan. Sameer also served in business development and product management roles at New York Stock Exchange Technologies, and in software development and technology strategy positions at Goldman Sachs.

Sameer serves as a senior advisor on the board for Cypher, the recently launched Blockchain Accelerator at the Wharton School. Sameer received his MBA from Harvard Business School, M.S. in Information Systems Management from Carnegie Mellon, and B.S. in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology in India. Sameer is passionate about the role of education and continuous learning in democratization of opportunity. In the past, he developed a job training initiative for students selected from 24 colleges in the CUNY system. Program brought together investment, data science and technology professionals from Point72, Google and other corporate partners including startups to introduce students to skills required for jobs in Data and Analytics.
