Scott E. Kalb
Scott Kalb is Founder and Director of the Responsible Asset Allocator Initiative at New America, rating the world’s largest asset owners on their responsible investing practices. Mr Kalb is Chairman of the Sovereign Investor Institute at Institutional Investor, a leading forum for sovereign and government funds around the world. He also is the CEO of KLTI Advisors, a firm dedicated to working with the sovereign and government fund community on long-term investment solutions. During 2009-2012, Mr. Kalb served as CIO and Deputy CEO of the Korea Investment Corporation (KIC), Korea’s US$130 billion Sovereign Wealth Fund. During his tenure at KIC, AUM grew from US$19 billion to US$60 billion. Prior to the KIC, Mr. Kalb worked in finance for 25 years, holding senior positions in asset management at Balyasny, Black Arrow Capital, Tudor and Citigroup. Mr. Kalb has been a member of the World Economic Forum Council on the Future of Investing and the Advisory Board of the Private Capital Research Institute, a Harvard Business School initiative, since 2009. Mr. Kalb lived in Asia for 15 years, speaks Korean, and has an MA Degree from Harvard.
