Shannan Murphy

Shannan Murphy heads Americas Leveraged Finance and Recovery Ratings at S&P Global. Shannan leads all efforts in U.S. leveraged finance analytics, research and commentary, including recovery analytics. She has 20 years of experience in leveraged finance. Prior to her current role, Shannan headed S&P’s U.S. Corporate Health Care ratings team for seven years. Prior to joining S&P Global, she spent five years on the buy side, following leveraged and distressed credits across several industries.

She also has previous experience as a management consultant. Shannan holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the Carroll School of Business at Boston College, and a B.A. from the College of William and Mary with a concentration in Economics.
