Søren Elbech

Søren Elbech is Head of Supranationals coverage globally at J.P. Morgan. In his role, Søren provides strategic leadership and insights on how the firm can continue to deepen our work with multilateral financial institutions.

Prior to his role at J.P. Morgan, Søren was at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, where he served as the institution’s first Treasurer. He played a vital role in creating their core treasury functions, winning a coveted AAA rating from key credit rating agencies, and preparing for its inaugural global benchmark bond.

Prior to this, Søren was treasurer of the Inter-American Development Bank for almost seven years, helping to navigate the institution through the global financial crisis and introducing important product innovations.

He also held roles as the Treasurer of Eksportfinans, the Norwegian export credit bank, head of Funding at Nordic Investment Bank, and various roles in the private sector at Danske Bank.
