Stephen Raneri
GMAG PHILOSOPHY
Mr. Raneri brings over 20 years of experience in the asset management industry to GMAG. He is responsible for the firm’s investment process, which includes macroeconomic research, development of expectations for global markets, and sourcing investments that when combined into diversified portfolios are designed to achieve the financial goals of GMAG’s clients. Mr. Raneri is also responsible for communicating the firm’s investment strategies to clients by working closely with GMAG’s Portfolio Managers and Private Wealth Advisors.
BACKGROUND
Prior to joining GMAG, Mr. Raneri served as the Chief Executive Officer of LionEye Capital Management, an alternative asset management firm that he co-founded in 2009. Throughout his career, Mr. Raneri has been a part of successful investment teams in various capacities such as Managing Director at Ramius Capital, Research Analyst at Soros Fund Management and Loeb Partners, as well as Vice President of Bankers Trust. At these firms he developed expertise in the areas of portfolio management, investment research and analysis, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.
