Valerie Bannon

Head of Financial Institutions Group and Product Strategy, BlackRock

As the Head of the Financial Institutions Group at BlackRock, Valerie oversees a part of the firm responsible for driving product strategy for fixed income portfolios. Prior to joining BlackRock in November 2012, she was a Portfolio Manager at Quilt Capital and Western Asset Management for nearly 13 years. Earlier in her career, Valerie spent four years as a Trader for Brown Brothers Harriman. She earned her B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and an MBA from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University.
