Victor Leong, CFA, FRM, CQF, CAIA
Victor Leong is the Head of Multi Asset Class and Discretionary Alternative Solutions for Citi Investment Management. He serves as Chair of both the Hedge Fund Portfolio Oversight Committee and Private Equity and Real Estate Portfolio Oversight Committee and is a voting member of the Asset Allocation Investment Committee. Victor leads investment teams in constructing actively managed diversified funds and portfolios that leverage Citi’s unique investment capabilities, employing proprietary asset allocation and engaging in the continuous execution of tactical ideas with a clear mandate to deliver risk-adjusted returns. He additionally leads the development of new investment capabilities, driving the strategic vision for the business and advancing new strategies and structures, including commingled funds and separately managed accounts.
Victor joined Citi most recently from Fidelity, where he was an Investment Director for Family Office Services focusing on investment opportunities in private and public markets across all asset classes. Previously, he served as the Head of Buyside Market Specialists, North America, at Bloomberg, where he led a team of subject matter experts focused on cross asset class idea generation, financial modeling and valuation techniques, portfolio construction and risk management.
Prior to that, Victor was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Wedbush Equity Management, where he managed long/short equity and volatility arbitrage strategies and also served as an Equities Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst at Barclays Global Investors. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and was a California Alumni Scholar. He is a CFA, FRM, and CAIA charterholder, and holds the CQF, FINRA series 3, 7 and 63.
