As Head of Alternative Data at Nasdaq, Bill Dague leads the Nasdaq Analytics Hub, a platform for alternative data that produces actionable investing intelligence. He and his team apply leading-edge technologies such as deep learning to create new solutions for traditional and alternative asset managers, and quant trading groups. Formerly the Director of Data Science, with a deep background in software engineering, he now spends 100% of his time putting alternative data to work on financial problems using machine intelligence. He is particularly interested in applications of deep reinforcement learning and complex systems analysis to financial markets. He holds a BA in Physics from the University of Chicago and a management certification from the Wharton School of Business.
