Yi Fu Lee, CFA, CPA, CMT, CAIA
Yi is an Equity Research, Vice President (covering Enterprise Software/Technology), with Cantor Fitzgerald, a global financial services firm founded in 1945 as a securities brokerage and investment bank. Yi’s experience ranges from analyzing public securities, private equity, and venture capital investments leveraging a differentiated fusion approach, combining techniques from fundamental and technical analysis to his investment research.
Prior to Cantor Fitzgerald, Yi was an Equity Research Analyst, VP with Berenberg covering Enterprise Software. Previous to Berenberg, Yi covered Security Software as an Equity Research VP at Cowen Inc. and as a Director at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., both are multinational investment banks. Prior to Oppenheimer, Yi was an Investment Associate (Buyside) with Eli Global LLC, an investment management firm specialized in the healthcare, technology, and financial services sector. Before Eli Global, Yi was at Wedbush Securities, Susquehanna International Group LLP and Sterne Agee CRT, which are institutional broker-dealers focus in equity/investment research. Prior to Sterne Agee CRT, Yi was a VP/Senior Investment Analyst with Novidam Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm. Previous to Novidam, Yi served as a Senior Valuation/Financial Analyst at Canaan Partners, a venture capital firm focus in technology and healthcare investments.
Prior to Canaan Partners, Yi was a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) M&A Transaction Services practice where he served as an M&A advisor to private equity funds and multinational corporations. Yi assisted clients in identifying key deal issues impacting proposed mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and buyouts. Yi started his career as an external auditor at PwC serving the Alternative Investments and Banking & Capital Markets sector.
Yi holds the following designations: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). Additionally, he holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 licenses. Yi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting Major with honors and Finance Concentration from Binghamton University.
