About This Group
The Value Investing Group provides a forum for the application and modification of Benjamin Graham's principles as well as for other value investment approaches. The group’s focus is on organizing both one-off as well as regular events such as the bi-monthly value investment round-table, the annual Ben Graham conference and the value investing workshop.

Andrew Auslander is results driven financial services professional with deep experience in risk management, due diligence of funds and ETFs, governance frameworks, and fixed income trading. Expert at defining and delivering strategic and operational projects with cross-functional teams. Skilled at communicating with senior management, trading desk heads and regulators. He has managed market, credit, liquidity, operational, vendor, and model risks. Andrew attended Stern School of Business, New York University and holds FINRA Series 7, 24 & 63 licenses. He is a CFA Charterholder and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
Mathias Strohfeldt, CFA, serves as a senior generalist analyst as well as covers the utilities, large cap Energy, Chemicals, Metals & Mining and E&C sector across all of the Main Street Team’s products. In addition Mathias is the macro analyst for the team and runs a small value sleeve of 40-50 stocks across all sectors. Prior to joining the Firm in 2015, he was a research analyst at Franklin Templeton Investments where he covered the utilities, banks, software and energy services industries. Before that, he was a research analyst at RCM, part of Allianz Global Investors.
Michael Chang, CFA, serves as a senior analyst at Sycale Advisors, a long-biased investment firm with a focus on deep fundamental research. He is a generalist currently focused on global investments in technology and telecommunications. Prior to joining Sycale, Michael was a manager in corporate strategy at Samsung Electronics (based in Seoul). He also has direct experience in software development and deployment with roles at Moody’s Analytics and Deloitte Consulting.
Joseph Cordi is a Vice President and Equity Research Analyst at Citi Investment Management.
Matt Haynes is Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of 1949 Value Advisors LLC, following a successful career as Portfolio Manager of multi-billion dollar global equity value portfolios for both retail and institutional investors since 1993.
