The 2017 crypto boom brought often overstated and sometimes impossible claims of institutional investment and adoption by 2018. Custody issues, liquidity, regulatory uncertainty, bad actors, security and importantly, a 75% price decline all slowed the pace of institutional adoption.
Deleveraging and newly imposed regulatory restrictions have hindered traditional bank lenders activity, and in turn restricted the capital available to many segments of the US and global economies. This has created a tremendous opportunity for alternative lenders to step in to fill the void.

Data Science is blossoming in the financial industry and literature. More and more financial firms are introducing machine learning systems to forecast markets and trade.
