Omar Vaishnavi is BlueMountain’s Head of Fundamental Credit and Distressed/Special Situations, and a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining BlueMountain in 2009, Mr. Vaishnavi was a distressed debt analyst at Silver Point Capital, with a focus on healthcare investments. Prior to Silver Point, Mr. Vaishnavi was an investment banking analyst at UBS. From 2011 – 2018, Mr. Vaishnavi served as a member of the board of Angiotech Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Vaishnavi earned a B.S. in Economics, with a concentration in Finance and Statistics, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
