Sam is a research analyst at UBS Asset Management in the Quantitative Evidence and Data Science group (QED) where he focuses on global macro analysis. He works with other asset class-specific research teams and portfolio managers, using both traditional and alternative data to augment the investment process. Sam has an interdisciplinary background. Before QED he was a macro strategist at UBS Securities and Cornerstone Macro. Prior to that he held macro quant roles at Bloomberg and S&P Global. He has a degree in international political economy with a Russian focus from the Elliott School at George Washington University.
