Sara Bonesteel is the Chief Investment Officer of Prudential International (PII), a division with over $150bln USD equivalent in assets. PII’s businesses span across Asia, Latin America and Africa. Prior to joining International, Sara was the chief investment officer of the Workplace Solutions Group of Prudential’s US businesses, where she was responsible for the strategic and tactical investment activities for the investment portfolios supporting Prudential’s Retirement and Group Insurance businesses. She also served for three years as Head of Portfolio Strategy within the Chief Investment Office.
Prior to joining the Chief Investment Office in 2013, Sara was head of Alternative Investments at Prudential Fixed Income, where she led its Dryden Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) platform as well as its fixed income hedge strategies. Previous to joining Prudential Financial in 2008, Ms. Bonesteel had a long career in the capital markets, including 17 years at Bear Stearns, where she was a Senior Managing Director in structured products. Ms. Bonesteel received a BA in English from Georgetown University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is a Director of Standard and Poor’s Financial Services LLC, S&P Global Ratings, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Newark Museum.
