William Bonner, CFA

As President of Heyford Group, Bill is responsible for sourcing alternative investments and distribution. Prior to Founding Heyford Group, Bill was a Partner and senior leader of the capital team with Oakpoint Advisors. He consulted with clients and he raised significant early-stage capital for private equity and hedge funds over four years. Earlier in his career, Bill conducted equity research and invested capital as a member of the Investment Team with HomeField Capital, a long/short equity hedge fund founded by key principals with Perry Capital. Bill also managed trading, sell-side relationships, and led business development. He designed and implemented a global marketing strategy that tripled assets under management with HomeField in 18 months following the Global Financial Crisis. Bill began his career in finance with JPMorgan Securities in New York where he held positions in fixed income trading and equity sales trading over thirteen years. Before relocating to New York, Bill was a U.S. Air Force Captain and fighter pilot. He flew F-111 aircraft and was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford in England in support of NATO. Bill earned his BS degree in finance from the University of Maryland and he is a CFA charterholder. He holds the Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.
