William J. Thompson, CFA, Managing Director

Bill is a Relationship Manager for the UBS Global Family & Institutional Wealth (GFIW) Group in the Americas. He focuses on creating customized coverage models and providing tailored solutions from across the firm to sophisticated Family Office clients.

Prior to rejoining UBS, Bill led family office investment efforts as an Investment Director at Fidelity Family Office Services. In that role, he worked alongside the investment teams of the largest pools of family office wealth to solve public and private market investment challenges. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Alternative Investments, and an investment committee member of a quantitative investment manager. Before that, he was the lead portfolio specialist for discretionary investment management at UBS Wealth Management UK in London, and a Portfolio Strategist at UBS Wealth Management Americas.

Bill is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder (CFA®), a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), and holds the CFA Society of the UK-administered Investment Management Certificate (IMC). He graduated from Boston College with a BS in Finance, earned an MBA from Boston University and a MS from Texas Tech in Financial Planning.

Bill lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex with his wife and two daughters.
