CFA Society New York’s Annual Celebration is our premier networking and recognition event of the year, bringing together professionals from across the investment management and financial services industries.
Held at The Plaza Hotel, the evening will welcome CFA charterholders, institutional investors, executives, industry partners, and distinguished guests for an elegant celebration of professional excellence and the advancement of the financial services profession.
The event will feature a cocktail reception, a formal sit down dinner and extensive networking opportunities. Designed to foster meaningful connections and celebrate achievement, the Annual Celebration is expected to attract more than 400 financial professionals from across the New York financial community and beyond.

Thomas K. Lee was appointed in 2007 as the sixth leader of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System (NYSTRS), which was founded in 1921. He is responsible for the administration of retirement benefits to nearly 460,000 participants and the investment of plan assets totaling $154.2 billion. NYSTRS is among the best-funded public pension plans in the nation with a funded status of 99%. The System pays approximately $8.7 billion in annual benefit payments, over 80% of which are distributed to New York residents. Mr. Lee is a member of the Executive Committee of the National Association of State Retirement Administrators (NASRA). He serves on the Board of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF).
