Cvent Transition Guide

Overview

Join us on January 27 for an engaging, career-focused evening that spotlights the globally respected CFA Program and why it matters for students in the New York area. We will open with a clear introduction to the charter’s reputation, followed by a concise overview of what the CFA designation is, the value it brings to employers, and the breadth of roles it unlocks across asset management, equity research, and portfolio management.
The presentation will explain the CFA exam process through a step-by-step guide that includes study requirements and complete instructions for obtaining the charter. Through CFA Society student membership students gain access to professional networks and industry events and mentorship programs and career development resources.

A panel of experts will present the main points through their personal experiences. Dr Steven Kent CFA will describe his Goldman Sachs experience while explaining how the curriculum developed his analytical abilities and decision-making skills. Kelly Gordon Maier will present JP Morgan Chase insights while providing students with business role preparation advice. The event will conclude with an organized networking event which enables participants to meet professionals and student ambassadors who can answer questions about exams and recruiting schedules and share effective study methods. Students should arrive prepared to ask questions while building professional relationships which will help them advance their careers in finance.
