Overview
Josh Neren and David Groban, executives of an opportunistic credit manager Bracco Asset Management, will join Jeff Hooke, former investment banker and author, to discuss the state of the private credit market and its past (and possible future) investment returns. Also, in brief, Mr. Hooke will present the findings of a seminal academic study he co-authored — featured on Bloomberg. The study covers 200 ‘seasoned’ private debt funds and their performance relative to an appropriate public benchmark.
The three presenters will leave plenty of time for questions. Besides the current activity and performance of private credit, they will consider the existential reasons of why the staffs of institutional investors either (i) don’t read, or (ii) simply ignore studies regarding private asset class return issues, and whether such lack of action violates fiduciary obligation and the CFA Society’s code of ethics.”
