About this Committee:
The CFANY Global Investing Committee (GIC) organizes a diverse range of programs to keep the investment community abreast of key trends affecting global investment markets. The Committee partners with Wall Street firms and foreign government entities, such as consulates and trade promotion boards, to educate members about the global economy, as well as to provide social and professional networking opportunities.
Following Heidi Thompson, CFA, retiring as Chairwoman in May 2013, the GIC is now being led by previous Vice Chairman Patrick Holert, CFA, as the new Chairman and Thomas Brigandi as Vice Chairman. Through significant outreach efforts to the CFANY network, the GIC has increased membership of the Committee from 180 to more than 620 emerging / frontier-market-focused portfolio managers, research analysts, investment bankers, private equity executives and other investment professionals. The GIC is quickly becoming the premier emerging / frontier markets forum in New York City.
All emerging / frontier-market-focused investment professionals are welcome! The meeting begins at 6:00 PM and the speakers will be speaking from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Registration will be limited to the first 400 people who RSVP. (Note: As the Global Investing Committee’s leadership will be sending this invite to over 4,000 investment professionals, we encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible).
