Group Description

The mission of the Alternative Investments Group is to provide a forum for the discussion and analysis of nontraditional investment approaches, including all forms of hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity, structured products, institutional real estate, and other investments not typically available in the retail marketplace.

Featured Speaker: Pooja Vyas

Pooja Vyas is a Research Analyst at Marquette Associates, bringing six years of investment experience to the firm. Joining in 2025, she conducts private markets manager due diligence, develops macroeconomic and capital markets research, and serves on the firm’s alternative investment manager search committee.

Prior to Marquette, Pooja held roles in private markets due diligence, portfolio construction, and macroeconomic research at a multi-family office, a national investment consulting firm, and an investment research firm.

Pooja holds an M.S. in finance from Simon Business School at the University of Rochester, a Master of Commerce with a concentration in accountancy from Mithibai College at the University of Mumbai, and a B.S.B.A. with a concentration in finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

CFANY reserves the right to cancel or reschedule all in-person events within 48 hours when inclement weather has been forecasted and travel is restricted by city officials.  The program may also be produced solely via livestream in such circumstances.  Please note the cancellation policy regarding refunds and substitutions.
