The mission of the Alternative Investments Group is to provide a forum for the discussion and analysis of nontraditional investment approaches, including all forms of hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity, structured products, institutional real estate, and other investments not typically available in the retail marketplace.

Ruth Yang is Head of Content Strategy at CreditSights, where she leads how the business delivers timely, authoritative insight across global debt capital markets. Cred itSights provides coverage of deal activity, emerging trends, and evolving risk signals across bonds, loans, and private credit—helping clients navigate complexity and stay ahead in a rapidly shifting market. Ruth is responsible for shaping a content strategy that not only interprets
market developments but drives actionable value for clients.
Ruth brings over 25 years of experience in leveraged finance and credit markets. Most recently, she was Global Head of Private Markets Analytics & Thought Leadership at S&P Global Ratings, where she expanded private credit coverage and led cross-market engagement through a robust thought leadership platform. She also served as
Sponsor of the cross-divisional S&P Global Private Debt Research Lab and was a member of the S&P Global Look Forward Counsel.
Previously, Ruth held senior leadership roles at Fitch Solutions as Managing Director of Leveraged Finance Intelligence, where she built and scaled leveraged finance offerings. She also spent more than 15 years at Leveraged Commentary & Data, leading global leveraged finance content and operations, and began her career at the Loan Syndications & Trading Association (LSTA), overseeing the mark-to-market pricing service. In 2025, Ruth was named included in Hedge Fund Journal’s 50 Women Leaders for Private Markets. Ruth holds an A.B. with honors from Harvard University.
