Overview

Buffett’s Early Investments: A new investigation into the decades when Warren Buffett earned his best returns is a book about how the world’s greatest investor made his first millions. The book covers ten case studies of investments Buffett made in the 1950s and 1960s. It is split in two parts, pre-partnership and partnership, to demonstrate how he grew and developed as an investor from his days as a student at Columbia. The investments covered are: Marshall-Wells, Greif Bros., Cleveland Worsted Mills, Union Street Railway, Philadelphia and Reading, British Columbia Power, American Express, Studebaker, Hochschild Kohn, and Disney. The book includes never before covered material, such as Buffett’s letter to Ben Graham about Greif and Hochschild Kohn’s annual report.
