Group Description

The Financial Reporting and Analysis Group follows issues and events affecting financial reporting, corporate disclosure, and accounting standards. Its primary mission is to keep CFANY members informed about these issues. The group also comments on proposed new financial reporting standards (before Regulators and Standard Setters).

Wendy is a retired partner at Forvis Mazars U.S and the former National Director of Profession Relations – Quality & Standards.

Wendy became a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) in January 2021; her second term will end in December 2026. Wendy is also currently a member of the SEC’s Small Business Capital Formation Committee and is active in many AICPA and NYSSCPA and CAQ committees and task forces.

Through May 31, 2024, Wendy was the leader of Mazars USA’s National Quality & Risk Management team. The group responsible for the firm’s compliance with professional standards and related rules and regulations, risk management, independence and ethics and engagement performance; and provided technical support to the firm’s accounting and auditing practice through consultation, education, quality reviews, and monitoring of compliance with policies and procedures. Wendy also held leadership positions as a member of the Quality & Risk Management Board at the Mazars Group.

CFANY reserves the right to cancel or reschedule all in-person events within 48 hours when inclement weather has been forecasted and travel is restricted by city officials.  The program may also be produced solely via livestream in such circumstances.  Please note the cancellation policy regarding refunds and substitutions.
