NYSSA GIC Fall 2015 Quarterly Networking Event & Latam Conference
Monday September 21, 2015
Please join us at the invitation-only CFA NY Global Investing Committee Fall 2015 Latin America Conference at SocGen, scheduled for September 21st, 2015 at 6 PM. The conference will bring together institutional investors, strategists and experts in Latin American capital markets to discuss the current macroeconomic environment, latest developments and investment themes.
Latin America has seen this shift in external factors before: a commodity boom and low US interest rates bringing in a deluge of capital and profits, followed by a rate hike and/or collapse in commodity prices that ends up halting growth and hence, causing a regional slowdown. Will this time be different? There are some differences from past episodes, for instance, companies in LatAm have been tapping local markets for funding needs to avoid global volatility, markets are deeper and more diverse and there exist different engines of growth within the region. This panel will explore these potential growth areas as well as the headwinds and risks that investors should be concerned about.
*Admission is invite-only, but please e-mail gic.nyssa@gmail.com if you are interested in requesting an invite to attend
**This is not a career event, it is for working investment professionals only. We reserve the right to grant / deny access or to expel any individual. Please be prepared to provide your business card to enter.
