Overview
The Financial Reporting and Analysis interest group presents an in-depth conversation to help familiarize investors with the audit process, highlighting relevant case studies and procedural changes in light of PCAOB and SEC actions over the past year. During this event, a series of experts will teach attendees how to recognize Critical Audit Matters and apply that information to an investment strategy. The discussion will highlight recent examples that have triggered changes to international auditing, including Evergrande, as well as an explanation of implications for US-based investors.
Audits are a critical part of ensuring the veracity of reported financial information; however, investors must still contend with misinformation and, occasionally, unreliable statements. Register now to learn what signals to look out for when evaluating financial statements and gain a better understanding of how the audit process continues to evolve to meet the needs of today’s financial professionals.
